Preserved Snowflake Storm Cluster Art, 20mm Real Snowflake Glass Display, Natura

Own a little piece of a Colorado winter storm, collected by hand and transformed into a one-of-a-kind work of natural art.
This beautiful 20mm preserved snowflake display features a gathering of real snow crystals, naturally clustered together during a Colorado snowfall and permanently preserved within glass and resin.
Unlike a single snowflake, a storm cluster captures the wonderful unpredictability of winter weather. Multiple delicate crystals come together, their intricate branches and geometric formations overlapping to create an extraordinary little gathering of nature’s artistry.
Each cluster preserves a fleeting moment from a winter storm, allowing the beautiful complexity of naturally formed snow crystals to be admired long after the snowfall has passed.
Capture Dates: January 24–26, 2025

Every snowflake begins high within the clouds, where changing temperatures and humidity shape its intricate crystalline structure. As snow crystals travel through the atmosphere, they may collide and gather together, forming delicate clusters before reaching the ground.
During active Colorado winter storms, I carefully collect these fragile formations by hand and preserve them while working below freezing. Temperature, humidity, wind, light, and even a single breath can affect the crystals before preservation is complete.
Collecting storm clusters is especially fascinating because each gathering is entirely unique. Some crystals remain beautifully distinct, while others overlap and intertwine, creating intricate formations that reveal the unpredictable nature of snowfall.
What I especially love about these little storm clusters is the way they bring so many individual snowflakes together in one tiny space.
Each crystal began its own journey through the clouds, shaped by the conditions it encountered along the way. Somewhere during that journey, these little pieces of winter found one another.
Together, they create something entirely different from any single snowflake, a miniature gathering of extraordinary natural geometry.
No two storm clusters are ever exactly alike, making every finished piece completely one of a kind. The exact artwork shown in the listing photographs is the one you will receive.
